  • Georgian Alphabet Day – The event includes conference-seminars, public lecture-presentations, exhibitions, performances on the Georgian alphabet:

o          12:00 – Opening of the exhibition of the National Center of Manuscripts – “Georgian Manuscript” – unique samples of the Georgian script (originals), which chronological framework includes X-XVII centuries, will be displayed.

o          13:00 – Presentation of the video project “Manuscripts do not burn”. Video speeches of the Georgian writers and public figures about the Georgian alphabet, manuscripts and the National Center of Manuscripts will be presented – Tamar Chokhonelidze

o          11:00 – Seminar: „Georgian alphabet – Intangible cultural heritage of humanity “- Organizer: Sukhumi State University

o          14:00 – „The world’s unique alphabet “- Organizer: Georgian-American University, the event will include public lecture of Rati Amaglobeli, presentation of a collection dedicated to 33 modern Georgian writers, presentation of new Georgian fonts by GAU IT laboratory GeoLab, with participation of the group of the Pantomime State Theater (etudes on the creation of the Georgian alphabet)
